DIY OMBRE POMPOM GARLAND

March 01, 2018
Good Morning, I hope this finds you all well today! I wanted to share my handmade Ombre pompom garland that I made for one of our granddaughters before I forget! I can't believe that I even said that, but I am in the gardening mindset now.

Remember how crazy I became over my pompom maker during the winter months and all of those pompoms I churned out. Well some of the pompoms became wreaths, others became garland and some of those pompoms even became embellishments for gift bags and baskets.

It is pretty much very obvious that this project was the most special one of all of them because it is made from my heart for this little Grandgirl of mine.

For this pompom garland I chose three shades of yarn; two soft pink hues and one white for this ombre garland. In order to keep continuity in the project I crocheted a simple tie string to attach the pompoms to.

I experimented with the size and placement of the pompoms in one of our guest rooms first.

Then when I was I was completely satisfied, I tied the pompoms on securely.

After that I added some magical twinkle lights that are battery operated.

I love the way it looks and it works as a nice little night light too for this little angel grandgirl.

And just because it turned out so well I made two! One is with Avery in Puerto Rico and one is in my little shop.

  2. This pom pom garland is precious, Jemma. These pictures of your granddaughter are so sweet. Now that I'm a grandma and will be taking lots of pictures, you'll have to tell me how you got that "soft look" on your photos. I just love them. The combination of the pink and the black and white checkered pillows looks very pretty in the guest room. These look easy to make, and really adds something special to the room.
