How to Make a Wreath in Any Style

April 30, 2015
Entry Door Décor is timeless, universal and Spring time is a great time to do a Spring Refresh.
Today I am sharing how to make a wreath in any style and eight welcoming Spring  wreaths for inspiration.
Making a stunning wreath is simple once you have the right supplies.

I enjoy designing wreaths for a particular area of our home.
Picking out fabric, flowers, ribbons and embellishments is always enjoyable for me.
I often times add wreaths to mirrors, my Grandmother's antique Hutch, Kitchen hood or even to the door of our greenhouse.

I made this fun and rather whimsical rag wreath for Easter and the nifty thing is that the bunnies are just a little inexpensive embellishment.
They stick on and so when Easter is behind us, I will remove the bunnies and this will be a Spring wreath in our home!

I suppose all homestyle crafters have a particular craft that they really enjoy and mine seems to be wreaths.

I curated this  Spring Wreath Board, for Hometalk. Love seeing the creativity!

Love the use of burlap and blocks for a touch of  whimsy and happiness.

When the children were little we always made a May Day craft and celebrated the joy of  Spring with a special outside activity.
The children are grown, but I am still celebrating the joy of May!
So, I made this May Day Country Cottage Wreath.

I thought the birdhouse was such a precious addition to this sweet wreath.

  4. That first wreath is very pretty and spring like, Jemma. I also like the soft rose bud one. You are such a good wreath maker with so many clever ideas. Oh, I love wreaths and had one of my door many years ago. I think it's time again to hang something pretty on there again. I was wondering, what is the easiest way to hang them without damaging the door?

    1. Thank you Sheri, I do enjoy the process, sort of therapeutic for me. I would suggest a wreath hanger, you can get them at Hobby Lobby and other craft stores. I sent you a link to an especially pretty one in a email.

  13. These are so pretty Jemma ... makes me want to create a "wreath" board on pinterest. I've been wanting to make a spring wreath for my dad's room at the nursing home, but was stuck on how to make it non-feminine. Some of these wreaths have given me inspiration!! He really needs something to hang from his window to liven the room up a bit, and even though his mind is failing, he would still scoff at too much flowery stuff ;)

It is tough when our parents enter this time of their lives. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Maybe a wreath or something pretty would brighten your Dads days.
