Handmade Spring Rag Wreath Tutorial and Supply List

April 06, 2020
Good Monday morning dear friends and readers.
Well here we are together as our country is facing another week of sheltering indoors and being together via Face time, Facebook, email, text or on the phone is the best place to be!
So welcome to my blog and let's getting crafting and chatting as I share a handmade Spring Rag Wreath tutorial.
These past few days have been extra challenging for me, as I continue to process the magnitude of the coronavirus and how it impacts our nation, my people, your people and the world around us.
So I hope and pray that this post finds you all well and holding on to your can-do spirit!

We are not taking this pandemic lightly we are creating new goals, challenges and keeping our own can-do American spirits alive and in the meantime we hope we lift up other folks spirits too.

Rag wreaths have interested me for quite some time now, I like their messy, earthy, down-home look and feel, in fact I made a Valentine Rag wreath using a clothes hanger a few years ago.

DIRECTIONS OH HOW TO MAKE HANDMADE SPRING RAG WREATH

  • Cut fabric into 1" - 2" strips wide and 8" long strips long
  • Tie the strips into a single knot onto the bottom 2 metal wires.
  • Tie the next strip to the next row of the outside 2 metal wires
  • Tie the next strip to the top 2 metal wires.
  • Push the fabric strips tightly together as you work your way around the wreath, this creates a super cute and fluffy full rag wreath.
