Summertime Mini Home Tour

August 01, 2021

Welcome to our Summer Mini Home Tour. Today I am sharing some snippets of our home. I hope you enjoy the tour and gather some homemaking ideas to make you happy. I have included a few links for shopping too.
Our cutting garden flowers are at their peak so I took the plunge and clipped off several baskets full. The heat is really so intense and I can see the stalks of the blooms are suffering. I wasn't sure how much longer they would last, so we will enjoy them inside.

My Kitchen is the heart of my home.
This is where all of my recipes, crafts and arranging flowers take place.
It is a very pleasant kitchen with lots of light and I am so happy to have a Kitchen window over my farmhouse sink.
Wasn't quite sure if that was going to happen but it did, and I am very thankful that the layout of the house worked out so well.

My Angler Portmeirion  soup tureen even seems to match. Funny how these things work out.

I love, love color in my accent pieces.

Lots of color in my bouquets really delights me too.
I planted several long rows of zinnias, sunflowers, celosia, lemon basil and cosmos. Funny thing is that all of the flowers seems to coordinate with the colors in our home...I did not even realize that when I purchased the seeds.

I treasure all of my cookbooks and I thought for a change of pace I would use them as a centerpiece on our breakfast table.
I placed them on a rustic wooden serving board and it all seems to fit the bill very well.
The oil decanter is from Italy.

Similar French style  basket for flowers.

I have had this little flying piggy for so long. She makes me chuckle.

Mother nature just makes the prettiest of blooms. All of the bumble bees, and butterflies have certainly taken notice too.

Artwork below is from my youngest daughter. I do believe she has tapped into my love of color as well and the hues are in perfect harmony.
Flying pig statues.

Drying some assorted hydrangeas, they are looking a little rough...part of the process I suppose.
Isn't this just the sweetest sign and the scripture.

The celosia really took off. Loves the heat.

My French basket with leather handle is one of my favorite pieces. I put blankets in it in the winter and it makes our rooms feel all the cozier.
I found the red buffalo check pillow covers right here.

Falling in love with red all over again...especially if it is a check or stripe.
Purchased the red check table runner right here.

Thank you for joining me on this August day for a little Mini Summer Home Tour.
My Mom's Birthday is August 1-she was a very special lady and I miss her very much.
