Three Welcoming Wreaths For Fall

October 28, 2013
I enjoy decorating and decorating for the Holidays makes it even

more special and rewarding.  Many of today's styles are a beautiful

blend of eclectic, primitive, rustic, French or whatever you can

imagine.  Gone are the days of matchy, matchy-thank goodness.

I have enjoyed designing and creating three different styles of

wreaths for our home and I am sharing them with you today.  The

first wreath will hang in our dining room on a very beautiful antique

hutch that was my Grandmother's.

If you happen to follow along you will have seen this hutch

showcased many times.

This wreath is a blend of bold and natural the base of it is grapevine.

Most of the grasses, wild wheat and acorns I found while on my

morning walks.  Since I was envisioning a little bling I spray painted

the acorns gold and also some of the tips of my floral pieces.

I have been crazy over orange this season so naturally  I added a

glorious orange bow which just happens to have delicate threads of

gold running through it.

A little rustic and country is the theme of this wreath and it smells

wonderful too, each one of these sweet little pine cones smells like

cinnamon.

I embellished this wreath with some faux felt pumpkins and pearls,

mini mums, and yes more acorns from my walks which I left natural

for this wreath. Some of the pine cones have a smokey black tint, so

was super tickled when I found this black and cream check ribbon.

I feel as though it brings all the elements together.

This wreath has found a new home -my oldest daughter was

helping out with a Fall fundraiser and asked me if she could include

this wreath in her basket of goodies to be auctioned off.

To me this sings French Western, a little triangular grapevine basket

spray painted gold holds a beautiful bouquet of Falls finest.  Rich

burgundy red silk dahlias, bright yellow mini mums, burnt orange

faux pumpkins and autumn leaves bring Fall to our home.

I will be hanging this on our Front door as soon as Halloween is

over.

I have enjoyed Welcoming Fall into our home with different

compositions, styles, and textures.  Enjoy decorating your home for

this wonderful time of the year.

  4. I would be hard pressed to choose one as each one is beautiful in its own setting.....I really like how you include things you find on your walks into your wreaths...gives them individuality that you can't find in a store....I know your family appreciates that you take so much time each season to make your home so warm, inviting and beautiful....

  5. I think they are all beautiful and how nice to donate one to the basket - I used to do that fundraiser for Andy's school and it is tough sometimes. I think my favorite is what you called the French Western - something so simple yet elegant. Have a good night. sandie

  7. You've done an amazing job at creating these wreaths. The first one with the acorns and natural bits looks beautiful against the antique hutch. And I really like the simplicity of the second wreath ... how nice to donate it for the auction. The little French basket is so cute, and will look adorable hung on your door. You are one creative gal, and I admire your taste in decorating :) Wendy x

  9. Jemma,

What a pretty collection of creativity, featuring the season's lovely motifs! All your wreaths are welcoming and beautiful, but the grapevine basket just speaks to me! Maybe it's that French accent I am so attracted to!

    Lovely, vibrant and freshly fall!
