Inspirational Thursday-Kindness

January 03, 2013

Such a simple word "Kindness."  But it carries a big punch not only for the receiver but the giver.

So, what actually is kindness?  Webster's dictionary defines it as the quality of being warm-hearted and considerate and humane and sympathetic.
Kindness is also described as being caring or warm in spirit,  sweet, thoughtful, helpful and generous.

When we practice being kind, we set in motion a wondrous cycle that leaves the minute, day, week, year and perhaps a lifetime in a little bit better place than we found it.

Kindness doesn't have a price tag, it doesn't expire, there isn't any shortage, it isn't at the top of a mountain, or at the bottom of the sea.  Kindness lives in each and every soul, and it only requires the desire to give it.

I am thankful for my dear parents, who taught me, by example to be kind, to give, to listen and to love!

May you give kindness freely and receive it lovingly-
