Inspiring Quotes For Women On Mother's Day

May 09, 2021

Let's get inspired by some good quotes for all women on this Mother's Day 2021. You know Mother's Day has always meant so much to me. It was and still is an official day for me to honor my Mom. She has been in heaven for 18 years now and not much of any day goes by without me thinking of her. You see I continue to adore my Mother. Her wit, sarcasm, capabilities, unconditional love and desire to uplift up other women.

Inspiring Quotes For Women On Mother's Day

I don't "see" my Mom through those young eyes anymore. I "see," my Mom through the eyes of where I am now;  a mature women who perhaps loves her even more today and misses her all the more because of this space in time. So as I prepare a Mother's day meal this Sunday I will prepare one with my Mom in mind but also my three daughter's  and son and here is why....

Inspiring Quotes For Women On Mother's Day

My Mom, son and my daughter's share a thing or two in common and it isn't just me. It is their commitment to lift up other women. Don't you just love that so much...I do. It makes me  SO proud. My three daughter's are advocates for their friends, co-workers, children and lucky me! The three of them use their wit, humor and sisterly love to encourage each other too. Then there is my caring son who is devoted to his family and community. Some of the quotes I'll be sharing today give me goosebumps and I get all teary eyed. Gathering up a tribe of women and spreading love and positivity all over and cheering them on in life.

  5. Hello dearest Jemma! Every quote you share here resonates with my soul. This morning, I cried thinking of the empty space where she once occupied. Then, I grew concerned because even with my good and vivid memory, I could not remember her voice or any particular thing she said to me. Then I heard a voice and remembered that once, somewhere in time when I was a struggling teen, She gently reached out her hand, stroked my arm and said in the most angelic voice, "Don't cry, M'hija." The latter being Spanish for "My daughter." I wasn't sure if I was imagining that moment but I seem to think it was real, those many years ago. Regardless if it was real or not, I felt and heard that phrase today, while I grieved.

    1. Dearest Friend,
I understand your thoughts and feelings that you have expressed so eloquently. When we feel as deeply as you and I both do we weep for times that are no more. Since our move I have been going through Mom's Old cookbooks. I have kept every single one and there are many. I enjoy reading her notes beside certain recipes, seeing her handwriting and visualizing her stature as she poured over recipes. We can hold these memories/thoughts dear to our hearts, and they do become real and that is a good thing.

sharing. They look so nice placed on your own special pictures. I'm so
glad that you have moved to your new home in Mississippi. I left a comment
on that post, but don't think it went through. I hope you had a lovely day.
I received lots of goodies from the daughters, and I took a walk with my
son in my new skechers and had a bite to eat. It was such a pleasant day.
Happy month of May to you, Jemma.
