Gold and Glam Valentine Wreath

January 12, 2013
So cupid continues to fill our home with the love bug!

I am simply thrilled with this heart shaped wire wreath form and

the gold deco mesh!  The mesh was even on sale!

This is a simple little tutorial-
Step 1-

Using a heart shaped wire form I weave the gold deco-mesh in and out of the form, it is very similar to making bows.

Step 2-
Every second to third weaving I secure the mesh to the wire form
with florist wire, gathering and tucking as I move along.  I was
careful not to overfill the form as I did not want to lose the shape
of the heart.

Step 3-

When I was satisfied with the shape of the wreath, I added the bling.  I love hot pink, glitter, sequins, rhinestones and of course
this gorgeous hot pink ribbon. All of the embellishments are secured with hot glue and the hot pink ribbon is woven throughout and secured with tiny dollops of hot glue.

I just love the way these two colors go together.

Firing up the  hot glue gun and adding the embellishmentswhich I had chosen.

Assorted sizes of glittery hearts and a golden rope bow bedazzled with gems really set this wreath off.

The aged paint of my antique amoire accentuates the colors in this wreath, creating a nostalgic, romantic and glamorous motif.
Perfect for celebrating Valentines Day!
