Dresses and More

Happy Friday Lovely Ladies!

Well, you won't believe this, well you might, this was suppose to be a sponsored post.

Yes indeed, a sweet little deal where I was going to do a review and then there were some perks

for you and I.

I was envisioning you using the coupon to  purchase a casual and feminine dress or top maybe in a

soft tropical floral or stunning solid, and then wearing your new outfit out to dinner...

Well, the coupon for you all, just didn't seem like much of a deal to me, so I wrote

back to the company and said hey, I am ready to move forward but the coupon you are offering is

going to need to be for a bit more, if you are sincerely interested in this post.

Well, as you can tell by the looks of things, they weren't interested in increasing the perks.

So, here I am with my Friday picks for you and they are dresses and more.

There is a reason I chose dresses-comfort and style.

Comfort ladies in this hot Texas heat, or wherever you might live.

We are all in the middle of Summer heat.

I actually think that dresses are so flattering to all women, all shapes, and all ages.

Slip on some amazing sunglasses and a cuff bracelet and you are accessorized for a

Summer afternoon, simplicity is the key.

Some of the items I included today are some of the things in my own closet this season, they are

comfortable and fashionable.

Extra plus is that many of these items are getting ready to go on sale!

The maxi dress is fashion forward and transitions from daytime to evening very easily.

I discovered that I am a fan of the Reba line, her sizes run true, moderate pricing and comfortable.

I love my Vera Bradley Tote and I have this exact color-it nearly works as a neutral and is a

smashing color for Summer.

Have you tried Tocca Violette (Paris in Springtime) notes of african violet and cashmere musk.

Soft Surroundings has a mix of quality clothing, you may want to go down a size

as they tend to run large.

Some of their styles can be a little boxie cut, so watch out for that, even when choosing dresses

it is important that we have a waistline-as you can see in this neutral maxi.

Don't forget to check out Old Navy and Gap for some great cotton shirt dresses.

I have several for this Summer, I always wash them on gentle in cold water and then hang to dry.

Yes, we have to iron them...pssst...but I secretly like too...

Kendra Scott has the perfect earring and the perfect color earring to add just the right pop of color

effortlessly to your Summer wardrobe.

If you are a little shy with adding bling to your style, try it on your feet first!

Love bling on a Summer sandal.

Hope your weekend is lovely and if it isn't quite what you had anticipated,

just remember some days we have to look a little harder for joy!

Be safe my dear friends!!

A Slice Of Fashion

I am sharing a slice of Fashion today and a review of a dress.

Along with some pretty picks for Spring, a little makeup, some nail polish and some

cute clothes for kiddos too.

I have never reviewed clothing before, but when I discovered that eShakti has the capability of

custom making dresses, slacks, blouses and even Wedding and special event items,

I thought it would be of interest to us all.

As I age, less is more, and natural is so much more appealing than overdone.

I enjoy the lightweight feel and coverage of Revlon's PhotoReady BB Cream

plus it protects with a SPF 30 sunscreen.

I despise wearing stockings, and pale legs aren't so attractive, so I have tried many bronzers.

My favorite is Ulta Bronze Glow Tinted Sunless Gelee, it is streak-free and natural looking too.

eShakti provided me with this dress but all opinions are my own.

eShakti has such a lovely variety of styles, fabrics, colors and prints to choose from.

I actually had difficulty making a choice, but when I saw this chambray dress

with embroidered flowers, my search was over.

As a new customer, register and receive $40.00 off your purchase, plus an extra 10% when you

enter athomewithjemma in the promotional box.

Today I am combining a very comfortable neutral pair of Karen Scott espadrilles, with this dress.

They are on sale at Macy's now, extra 15% off-use promo code STOCK.

eShakti has an amazing ordering process where you can customize every item to your specifications

from the comfort of your home and offering sizes 0-36W.

On most dresses you are able to select your neckline, sleeve length, dress length and whether or not

you would like pockets.

On top of this you give them your measurements so you know your dress is going to be custom

tailored to your body type.

Customer service was top-notch, which is a very big deal to me.

For cool weather, or Church I added a 3/4 sleeve bi-stretch jacket from White House Black Market

I have always had difficulty with thin nails, breakage and polish staying on.

I have so many bottles of nail polish that has dried up, so when my middle daughter suggested I try

Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme, I did and I love it.

BB cream and Polish are from Target.

I just love ruffled leggings with everything and headbands with bows.

The coolest fellows always add a striped Polo to a pair of jeans or chinos.

Boots and skirts are always in style in Texas or Oklahoma.

Layer a denim jacket over a dress on a windy afternoon.

Of course when you are two, five or nine you look fabulous in everything!

Thank you to our children for the blessings of Grandchildren, we love YOU!!

Have a lovely weekend and as always...

Dresses For Spring

I am O-b-s-e-s-s-e-d with Spring and I will tell you why.

You see, this is one of the best Season's of the year in North Texas.

Our flowers bloom brightly, the greens are the greenest of the Season

and our Texas Blue Sky weather is truly, truly marvelous.

By July it is hot, firecracker hot, hot enough to cook an egg on the sidewalk hot, and all of my

beautiful flowers will rapidly begin to fade.

                                                                      Puppy Via

Since I am obsessed with the essence of Spring,

you might just find that I will be posting quite a bit on this topic.

Yesterday on the blog we had a Garden party , today we are dressing up for the occasion.

Puppies who are as cute as a button are welcome to attend (semi-formal wear please) wink...

Whether you are going to a bridal shower or a baby shower-

An afternoon luncheon with your favorite gals,

You can never go wrong with a classic floral design for a garden party.

Perhaps a dinner party on the patio in the early evening,

when there is still a touch of coolness in the air.

A long sleeve tee combined with a head turning tulle,

or a flirty floral shift topped off with a cardigan.

With the Kentucky Derby just around the corner maybe you or a neighbor are hosting a

outdoor part and naturally you will need a hat.

Hats are very "in," this Season and I suspect, as I am sure that you do too,  that Duchess Kate has

had a huge role in their popularity.

Whatever you choose to wear, whatever party you host or attend-

Always remember that Happiness is looking just for you...

Happy Friday, have a delightful weekend, my dears!

Fashion Friday-Valentine's Day

Fashion Friday just happens to fall on Valentine's Day

so, naturally we must dress accordingly

or at least dream and have a little fun.

Picture perfect table setting, dancing shoes and hearts.

Such feminine sweetness.

Perfectly red, perfectly girly and perfectly yummy cake...

Snow, no problem just add a red umbrella to your wardrobe...

White roses, kisses, heels and hearts

"Love is the only answer to every question.  It is the only thing

that will serve you in every situation.  It is the route and the

destination.  It is medication and liberation..."

Happy Valentines Day My Dear Friends, wishing you true joy

and much love always~
