Love Yourself

I just really want to reach out to all of the women today, and say I think that you are great!
You are amazing women, doing amazing things every single day of your lives.
You are the ladies that nurture the children, the husband, friends, parents and grandparents.

You are the volunteers, the worker bees,  the soldiers of society and you make the world go round.

I know that you are striving each, and every day to take care of everyone in your world.
That you are always putting someone's needs and cares above your own.

Then you evaluate, critique and you put way too much pressure on yourself too.
So, stop and love yourself, accept yourself, forgive yourself and above all this-

BE GOOD TO YOU!

Know that you are a star in the dark sky, and that your light shines brightly for those who love you, even if they don't tell you so.

There are many times our hearts long to hear those words of affirmation from our friends and family, but they never come.

But just because these words are not spoken, does not mean that they are not felt.
Know that you and you alone make a huge difference in many lives, without even knowing.

However, and I do have to add this-why not make a difference in the lives of the women you love and who love you.
Reach out to them today and tell them that they matter to you and that you love them.
Can you imagine the difference this would make in all of our lives if each one of us did that today...

Then after you have made that call, sent that message, or wrote a note.
Tell yourself "I love you too and you matter."

Leave me a message and let me know how you are sending love to yourself and some other woman today.

I will be sending a personal message back to each comment you leave here today.
You all are the best ever!

Tippy Top of The Mountain

I remember when I was just a kid wanting to climb to the very tippy top of a mountain.

I also remember my oldest child, my son, wanting to do the same thing-

not to just climb up a mountain, but to reach the very tippy top.

He truly, nearly did except...

there was another mountain, even taller, behind the first one...

Have you felt the same way during your life, the need to conquer the mountain?

To reach the highest mountain you could find.

Because, then you would have reached your goal,

a check mark could be place next to-

Tippy Top of the Mountain-reached-check.

The funny thing about this is, as you know, the check mark never gets placed to reaching the

tippy top of the Mountain. ( unless you are a true Mountain Climber)

I suppose this is how life is,

tending to think that when we get to

this spot in life,

this age,

this financial level,

this house,

the children out of diapers,

we have finally reached the tippy top.

We can  breathe a huge sigh of relief.

And then we didn't.

Because, behind that tall mountain was yet another one...

Please stay with me, this has a positive conclusion!

So it seems to me, when all is said, and done.

Life lived as well as we could,

mountains climbed,

then climbed even more,

with the tippy top just another 5,000 feet ahead,

we should know that maybe we never will

put a check on climbing to the tippy top.

So, just maybe reaching the tippy top of the mountain isn't nearly important as it once seemed.

Because when we really think about it, given the opportunity to

think love,

breathe love, and

offer love is a gift.

Truly, Love is one of the qualities which  being human is all about.

We can move mountains, and that is done- with LOVE...check.

Please enjoy Celine Dion singing,  Love Can Move Mountains.

Inspirational Thursday-The Rose

The other morning while walking, I found myself listening to Bette Midler.

I have always enjoyed her voice so much and she was

singing one of my favorite songs of days gone by.

When I got home I just had to take a few pictures of my

red roses from Valentines day-

The Rose

"Some say Love, it is a river, that drowns the tender reed

Some say Love, it is a razor, that leaves your soul to bleed

Some say Love, it is a hunger, an endless aching need

I say Love, is a flower, and you, its only a seed

It's the heart afraid of breaking, that never learns to dance

It's the dream afraid of waking, that never takes the chance

It's the one who won't be taken, the one who can't seem to give

And the soul afraid of dying, that never learns to live

When the night has been too lonely and the road has been too long

And you think that love is only for the lucky and the strong

Just remember that in the Winter, far beneath the bitter snow

Lies, the seed, that with the sun's love in the Spring becomes the rose

Hurts and disappointments have the power to change our outlook on life and

love, if we allow them to do so.

These hurts have the ability to leave us bitter, fearful and paralyzed and even

prevent us from viewing love as beautiful, joyful and rewarding.

Isn't it comforting to know that we are woven together in such a way that we

are meant to give love unconditionally and receive love openly and graciously.

We have been given the gift to love and be loved.

When we let love fill our hearts,

there is no room for bitterness and fearfulness.

Wishing you love and joy~

From One Mom To Another

Welcome to Inspirational Thursday where I share with you the

things in life that are inspiring to me in way or another!

This week we are receiving some beautiful inspiration from my

youngest daughter who has tenderly written a Mom Post.

So whether you are a young Mom, a seasoned Mom or now a

grandmother, I feel certain that this reflective, honest and open

writing will resonate with you!

Grab a comfy chair, I  have to show you what

Motherhood looks like from our viewpoint.

This is our silly, magical little group...

our  precious chaotic,

beautiful gift from God!

A perfect mix of pure goodness and delight that has

been entrusted to us.

So, please join us today on the journey of being MOM.

~From One Mom To Another~

Rebecca Anne Wheeler

From one mom to another mom, I want you to know that I know your job is hard.

I know it’s demanding, exhausting and sometimes nerve wrenching.

I also know it’s the most wonderful thing you have ever done or will ever do.

With that being said, I also want you to know that your child will always be different from other children.

Maybe your child won't walk until they are well over a year, maybe they won't eat their brussel sprouts, peas or

squash like the kid down the street, but would rather prefer a diet of cheese and tortillas.

Maybe they-

won't read as fast...

play as hard...

but maybe...

                                                                                                 Source

They’ll want to cuddle more than the other kids, maybe they’ll demonstrate compassion and humility, maybe

they’ll make you laugh until your stomach hurts and maybe they’ll make you cry when you realize how innocent

and pure they view the world.

                                                                                             Source

And maybe, just maybe, these are the things that truly matter.

Maybe instead of constantly reading all the latest parenting material out there and constantly driving ourselves

crazy comparing, we should be rejoicing in what

makes our children different.

Because your child will always be different and isn’t that something to celebrate?

                                                                                             Source

Should we not be more proud to be mothers of good, earnest people rather than moms of super achievers?

Should we not spend more time just being in the moment with our child and stop wondering

“when will my child do that” or “why doesn’t he/she do it that way”.

Do these things matter?

My answer is no.

                                                                                            Source

My answer is love your child today for everything that makes them beautifully unique.

The way God made them and intended them to be.

Sometimes the most beautiful flowers take longer to bloom & sometimes life passes us right on by when we’re

too busy worrying about tomorrow.

                                                                                           Source

So take today, leave the labels and the comparisons behind and don’t look back.

God gave you an amazing gift when He made you a mother and it’s because He knew you could do it.

So don’t stress, don’t over analyze, don’t worry about things that aren’t worth worrying about-enjoy your child,

because tomorrow your child will be another day older and probably on to the next thing that makes them

different.

Love what makes them, them.

And moms, give yourself a break. You’re doing good. Scratch that, you’re doing great.

Inspirational Thursday-Love

"Love is patient, love is kind.  It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not

proud.  It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no

records of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth.

It always protects, it always trusts, always hopes, always preserves.

Love never fails."

King James Version: 1 Corinthians 13

So what does love mean to you?  How do you show someone you love them?  Is it through hugs and kisses?  Maybe you show love through giving a gift?  Do you show love by giving of your time? Or is it hearing the words " I love you," which mean the most?

Perhaps one of the reasons that love is so powerful is because when we truly love, we will sacrifice our own needs, and desires for the ones we love.  We will invest time and energy in finding out what makes someone feel loved. Maybe it is generously giving up the moment for someone else, maybe it is giving without expecting. Maybe it is going without so someone else can have. Perhaps love is the purest form of humanity.

I am so thankful for the constant and unconditional love of my sweet family

and my dear friends.

So, whatever love means to you, may you always hold it tight,

never take it for granted, cherish it and give it.

And, my wish for you- is it that receive more than you could have ever

dreamed of and always keep love in your heart!
