Fabulous Friday
June 13, 2014
Reflecting on a good week makes for a Fabulous Friday!
We had a few surprise showers this week, which made all of my plants
smile, and while walking in between these heavenly showers I found this
wonderful wrought iron basket discarded along the side of the street.
You know some of the best treasures just sort of leap out at you!
Wouldn't a fuchsia bougainvillea be just perfect nestled among the detailed
ironwork...
While out and about I discovered this phenomenal anti-aging and hydrating
lotion.
Between walking, gardening and a little dip in our pool, and yes
(my age) whisper.... my skin needs a big drink of pure goodness and this
Pure Fiji lotion is amazing!
I chose guava because, well, it smells delightful!
These products are made with some organic goodness and leave my skin
lightly softened and smooth.
Hydrangeas anyone?
Can you believe these colors-these are the real deal!
Have you ever had Lemonade with a little fizz?
Yummy-yes yummy!

And doesn't this silk color block dress look so cool, refreshing, carefree and
happy?
I love the way the fabric moves and I would imagine that by just
slipping it on we would feel like we were on a vacation without even
leaving home.
In the very back of my suburban yard I have nestled a few powder pink
petunias in the vibrant green English Ivy along with a few boxwood.
These are a few of my favorite things from the week and when you put them
all together, they have made for a Fabulous Friday!
Have a sweet weekend my friends!

What a lovely, fresh post. I saw that lemonade at World Market, I think, and it looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteSo many simple pleasures, Jemma. That's what I love about summer, a chance to stop and smell the roses. Everything is looking lovely where you are, ENJOY!
ReplyDeleteBig hugs,
Patti
What a great roadside find in the planter. I'd love to see it when you get the plants established. You have some beautiful flowers in your garden Jemma, and I really like the soft pink petunias. Have a great weekend. Wendy x
ReplyDeleteWhat a fresh and airy post! Your garden is so pretty and inviting, Jemma. How I'd love to sit and chat poolside, sipping on that cool, lemony treat, with those heavenly hued hydrangeas for views!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing all the loveliness!

Have a wonderful weekend!
Who would discard that planter basket? Glad you picked it up. A sweet find.
ReplyDeleteHydrangeas are my favorite flower. They are so pretty cut for a fresh arrangement or even dried. I'll look for this lotion....I use a LOT of lotion! lol Happy weekend my friend! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteOoh what a nice post! I do like that metal basket you found- great possibilities! Anything we can do to help our skin is a good thing! The hydrangeas are fabulous- it's a ways off before I'll see any flowers on mine. The lemonade looks really good and refreshing! Pretty flowing dress that does look cool and comfortable for sumer. The petunias and ivy looks great together- I've never tried mixing the two- I guess I thought Ivy was more of a shade lover. Happy weekend! XO, Liz
ReplyDeleteThank you for all of the lovely and summery inspiration.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Patti
Hi Jemma, Yes! love the lemonade with a little fizz;) and I also like the lotion you are showing today! Such pretty packaging and I'm sure it smells amazing. Your plants are looking robust and clearly the sunny, warmer weather is having an impact! Glad you had a little rain to freshen the garden. Enjoy the weekend!

Jemma,
ReplyDeleteThis pink citrus lemonade looks so good right now. It has been in the 100's here lately. Your hydrangeas are so pretty, and such vibrant colors. This hydrating lotion sounds great. I have been looking for something just like this. Jess graduated this weekend and it was outdoors, and I got a sunburn. I could use some of this nice lotion.
Have I ever told you how much I appreciate and love your posts? They are filled with simplicity and beauty, and I always leave here with a smile.
love,
~Sheri
I have had the lemonade and it's yummy! Great for summer. Your lotion looks just as yummy. Hope you are enjoying your almost summer.
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Linda
