DIY Valentine Gift Bags

February 04, 2016
Valentine's Day is just around the corner and I always enjoy giving my sweet Valentines

little gifts of love.

I do believe that Valentine's Day is one of the best holidays around.

It is a no pressure, let me love you sort of day.

So, over the next few days I will be sharing some easy, pleasing and cutie pie ways

to show your love.

Today I am sharing a simple way to make these colorful and loveable Valentine Gift Bags.

Really cute gift bags have become way too expensive, so let's start this project with some

inexpensive bags and spruce them all up for those sweet ones in our lives.

Could we say this looks like an interesting assortment of whatnots?

Oh, goodness and interesting they are-let imagination, wonder and delight be the guide to

creativity!

I picked up these whimsical Valentine gift tags at a craft show in Oklahoma last year.

Supplies For DIY Valentine Bags

  • Rickrack
  • Paper Doilies
  • Assorted Material
  • Pompoms
  • Heart Buttons
  • Pinking Shears
  • Glue Gun

Next step is to make sure you have plenty of chocolates to nibble on why you heat up that

trusty glue gun, and of course save a few for gift giving treats...smile...

Did you know that chocolate enhances your creativity...I am not certain that this is a fact...

so please don't quote me!

My glue gun is my BFF, do you have a favorite craft gadget??

So, heat that glue gun up and glue all of these little whatnots on those bags, until you are

satisfied with their appearance.

Can't wait to show you what little treat I tucked inside of these Valentine Gift Bags!

Happy Crafting Friends!
XO

  2. Oh, cute gift bags, Jemma. They're so creative, and the whimsical tags really add something extra to them. I love Valentines Day, and I just sent the girls some of the Valentine cards that we used to share when we were kids. The theme was from Disney's Frozen hehehehe. I like how you mixed the zig zag with polka dot, so fun. And I see you have some of those delightful DOVE chocolates to enjoy.

Great ideas, and thanks for sharing, Jemma.

    love, ~Sheri

  13. Hello sweet Jemma,
My favorite craft gadget is disposable chop sticks (the ones they give you with Asian take out orders) Why I hear you ask? Well they make the best paint stirrers for small mixing of paints be it canvas, mural or adding glaze to the paint for faux techinques.

I love your adorable embellished gift bags...so much more creative than anything store bought. It's always the look of the packaging and the anticipation of the gift that people enjoy. This Valentine's Day I've embraced the color Red in Valentine décor.
Fun post my creative Virgo friend.
    xoxo,
    Vera

  14. Hi Jemma, what cute Valentine's Day giftbags! Besides the fact that they are so much more economical than those in the store, they have that wonderful handmade with love touch!!!! Love them!! Sending hugs,

  15. Really cute, Jemma! Yes, dollar store bags are a great deal and so much fun to foof up. And these are way too adorable!

My best crafty friend is my X-box -- that little X thing that's orange and you can put through ribbons through it and it's easy and not messy and sticks like a dream. I think it's called a sticker maker but I've only used it for ribbon!
