Molly's Minnie Mouse Birthday Party

Just one year ago Molly Emma Wheeler was born in

Shreveport Louisiana.  It was indeed a joyous and emotionally

charged day for us all.

It has been a year of joy to watch this little miss

grow into a thriving one year old.

We celebrated her Birthday last week.

She is sugar and spice and everything nice-even when she loses

her temper.

At least in my mind she is...one of the many perks of being a

This is the family of three now- this is their story-One year ago.

Molly loved her smash cake a total therapeutic delight!  Nothing like

a good hand massage in creamy frosting and moist chocolate cake.

The cake before serving.

Rebecca chose to do a Minnie Mouse theme party complete with

activities for children of all ages.  Decorating Minnie Mouse sugar

cookies was a huge hit.

Handmade Pom poms from Molly's baby shower have been saved

and were used as decorations for her Birthday party-I love these

little invites too.

Minnie Mouse cupcakes-these just tickle me-mini oreos for the ears!

Gramps and Molly-Rebecca and I and the goodie bags-

Naturally, no Minnie Mouse party is complete without ears and of

course bows!

Happy Birthday sweet Molly we love you!!

Jemma's home is a quiet spot nestled among the trees. You might find me writing, reading, or puttering in my Greenhouse, tweaking a recipe, crafting a wreath or loving on my grands. Always living with a grateful heart.

  1. Jemma,
A Minnie Mouse party! I'm going to send Jess over here to take a look. Disney is her absolute favorite! Molly's party turned out so nice, with so many creative ideas. I love the Minnie Mouse cupcakes and the polka dot favor bags. I'm a polka dot girl too. And she's even wearing a polka dot dress, how cute. All kids love to decorate their own sugar cookies, what a great idea. You look so lovely here with your daughter, Jemma, and I love the t-shirt she is wearing. That heart-shaped cake is delightful. So much fun!

    Have a wonderful week.

  2. What a lovely birthday party! Those cupcakes looks delicious! I would love to have one right now with my cup of tea ... LOL. I'm visiting from Mosaic Monday. Have a wonderful week.

  3. She is such a sweetie and I love the birthday party theme! Fun!

  4. She is so adorable and this is such a fun party theme!

  5. That first picture ? I just bust out laughing ...she is so darn cute in it...what a happy expression!!! :)

  6. Well, you girls certainly know how to party!! Molly is ADORABLE! Hmm. Maybe I should throw a Minnie Mouse party for my 50th, JUST for the cupcakes!

Happy Birthday to Little Miss Molly!!

    love- Samantha

  8. Jemma, such an adorable family!! That baby is just precious and what a fun party you had for her. If your daughter looks 12, then you look 24 :) I am just a month behind you, our littlest one turns 1 in March. Can't wait!!

  9. Gosh she's an adorable child... do you think Molly would share her cupcakes with me? xox

  10. Molly that last picture was so beautiful - you are one gorgeous girl - your parents are going to have to keep their eye on you. I love pink and wish I had a grand daughter! Jemma was that your husband/grandpa in the one picture. Your daughter is beautiful like you too! sandie

  11. What an adorable little birthday girl!

  12. This is just adorable! I remember the Disney parties.. and miss them so much. It's fun to re-live all this through our grandchildren:):) The cupcakes are so fun! Gorgeous family;)

  13. She is absolutely gorgeous; please give her a birthday hug for me. I love the Micky Mouse theme party; all that pink is just perfect for such a sweet little girl...

  14. Wow, what a gorgeous girl Molly is! Happy belated birthday to her and I'm so loving the minnie mouse cupcakes!!

  15. Well, of course I had to go back and read the story of Molly's triumphant arrival ... so scary when things turn upside down. I was induced with my first baby and it was not too bad. My second was born within an hour of me getting to the hospital, which just made my head spin and all the nurses & doctor laugh! So glad everything worked out for your daughter and Molly (and for the whole family too). Gosh! Molly is the most adorable little cutie pie!! Those dimples! that smile! & those little rings along her arms ;) I gave my daughter a Minnie Mouse birthday one year too, the same year we took her to Disneyworld, and she was just over the moon to meet Minnie Mouse in person just a few days after her birthday. So cute! Thanks for sharing your adorable granddaughter's 1st birthday party ... what a beautiful family you have Jemma ... and you look stunning in the photo with your daughter! Wendy x
